Something cute and cheesy || Erinnabeth
Annabeth followed behind Erinn when she put Morgan down. The water was chilly but incredibly refreshing and she knew she’d get used to it in a few moments time. She swam out slower than Erinn and kept an eye on the dogs on shore, she didn’t want them to go off and cause trouble among the few others at the beach. Suddenly, she felt a splash of water on her face. “Oh you don’t say,” she let out in a sarcastic tone and rolled her eyes but let it go. She took a page out of Erinn’s book and turned on her back to float. The waves weren’t bad at this point and the gentle rocking sensation was soothing.
Opting to go back to treading water, Annabeth checked back on the dogs. Some were in the sand, a few were still at the water’s edge. She turned back to Erinn and splashed her girlfriend a bit. “I’m gonna head back in and listen to my iPod. You should surf and I’ll watch,” Annabeth added. It sounded like a pretty decent idea. It would be entertaining to watch and she could chill and keep a better eye on the dogs for awhile.
Paddling around a bit more after splashing Annabeth in the face, Erinn was sightly disappointed that Annabeth didn’t rise to her bait. It was something that she was exceptionally good at, considering how Erinn could be a lot of the time. It took a special person to deal with Erinn and Annabeth knew exactly how to brush off a lot of her antics and just roll her eyes a bit, which was probably the reason they managed to work out so well together. With a huff of breath, Erinn settled for closing her eyes and just resting on her back in the icy water. She had been working out a lot more often lately and the cool water was just what her muscles needed to help soothe any lingering aches and pains they had accumulated as of late.
As a few trickles of water landed on her face, Erinn crinkled her nose up and opened her eyes to look over at Annabeth. To Erinn, that was a challenge. Despite the fact that Annabeth was just telling her that they should head in for a bit so Erinn could grab her surfboard, it was a challenge. Flipping over so that she was on her stomach, Erinn quickly swam over towards Annabeth, wrapping her arms around the girl and dunking her back into the water for a moment before pulling her back up into her arms. “You’ve got a bit of water on you, babe,” she commented goofily as she started to carry her back out to the shoreline, setting her down once they were there. “But, yeah, are you sure you’re okay with me hitting the surf for awhile?” she asked, a concerned look crossing her face for a moment as the dogs all trooped over and started to nose around at their feet, eager for more attention.
